Crust:
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2nd Layer:
1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. 1/2 and 1/2 (light cream)
1 c. sugar
3rd Layer:
1 lb. chocolate
1 c. toasted almonds or pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Sift Flour, baking powder, and salt 2 times then add to above mixture. Spread in large cookie sheet and bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes. Melt and cook to softball stage butter, cream, and sugar. Beat until creamy. Pour over cookie crust. Melt chocolate and spread over candy layer. Sprinkle with nuts of choice.
