1 c. firmly packed, snipped fresh basil
1/2 c. snipped parsley
1/2 c. grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
1/4 c. pine nuts, walnuts, almonds, or PECANS
1 or 2 cloves garlic
1/3 c. olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Place first 5 ingredients in food processor. Push on/off button until a paste forms. Add olive oil and blend to the consistency of soft butter. Refridgerate or freeze until ready to devour. Serve with pasta, on crackers or just eat with a spoon.

I quadruple this recipe and pack it in small canning jars and keep in the freezer. It makes a great hostess gift. Also, I almost always use pecans because we get delicious ones from Dad (Fred Jarvis) every year around the holidays. Yum!
