1/2 cup olive oil
3 Tbls white balsamic or wine vinegar
1 tsp sugar
— 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
— 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
1/2 tsp dry mustard
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 [8 oz] packages small fresh mushrooms

Directions:

Snap off tough ends of asparagus; remove scales with vegetable peeler Cook asparagus in boiling water to cover 2 minutes
— Remove asparagus, plunge into ice water to stop cooking process, drain and chill Combine oil and next 7 ingredients in a large bowl, add mushrooms; chill 8 hours Add asparagus 30 minutes before serving with a slotted spoon
