2 tbsp margarine or butter
1 c. onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
3 c. white mushrooms, chopped
8 oz. block cream cheese softened, cut in to 8 pieces
1/2 tsp seasoned salt
1/2 tsp dill weed
heavy sprinkle pepper
1 1/2 c. Monterey Jack cheese with jalapenos, grated
1/2 c. Hellman mayonnaise
Fresh sliced mushrooms for garnish
Fresh chives, chopped for garnish

Directions:
Melt margarine in large fry pan on medium. Add onion, garlic, and chopped mushrooms. Cook for about 10 minutes until liquid has evaporated and mushrooms are golden. Lower heat. Add next 4 ingredients until cream cheese is melted.
Add Monterey Jack cheese and mayonnaise. Mix well. Spread in ungreased shallow casserole.
Bake at 350º for 20 - 30 minutes until heated through.
Sprinkle with sliced mushrooms and chives.
Serve hot with bread or crackers.
