2 sticks margarine
5 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. water
2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2-3 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
2 tsp. vanilla

Icing: 3/4 stick margarine, 4 Tbsp. cocoa, 4-5 Tbsp. milk, 1 small box confectioner's sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 c. English walnut pieces, optional.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bring marg. cocoa, and water to a boil; mix together after somewhat cool with sugar, flour, spices, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. The mixture will be thin! Bake in 13x9x2 pan for 30-35 minutes or until done. Let the cake cool before spreading the icing.

To make the icing- Melt and bring to a boil the marg. cocoa, and milk. Remove from heat and add confec. sugar and vanilla. Beat well by hand and spread over cooled cake. Sprinkle walnuts over icing if desired.
