6 green bell peppers, tops removed and seeded
1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup cooked rice
1 tsp. salt
1- 15 oz. can tomato sauce, divided
1/8 tsp. oregano
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
6 oz. Mozzarella Cheese, shredded

Directions:
Directions:
In a large kettle of boiling water parboil peppers for 5 minutes & drain.

In a medium skillet cook beef and onions until browned. Drain any excess fat; add rice, salt, oregano, garlic powder and 1 cup tomato sauce - heat thoroughly.

Heat oven to 350º.

Stuff each pepper with beef mixture, put on the lid and place in a greased baking dish large enough to contain peppers. Pour remaining tomato sauce over peppers, cover with foil and bake 45 minutes.

Remove foil and bake 15 minutes.

Sprinkle with cheese and serve.
