1 1/2 C. Sugar
1/2 C. Butter
2 eggs
2 C. Cooled, Unsweetened Applesauce
1 T. Cocoa
1 t. Cinnamon
1 t. Baking Soda
1 t. Vanilla
2 C. Flour

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together sugar, butter, eggs

Add Applesauce, cocoa, cinnamon, baking sods and vanilla

Mix well then add flour

Pour into a grease and floured 9 x 13 pan.

Sprinkle over the batter ... be sure to get it to the edges, or the center will sink and the sides will rise!

1/4 c. sugar
2/3 of a 12 oz bag of chocolate chips
Chopped nuts, if desired

Bake at 350º for 35 - 40 minutes

This cake is very moist. Wait until it cools to cut and enjoy, or it mashes as you cut it.
