1 c. butter & lard mixed
1-1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs
1-1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking power
3 cups flour (approximately)
(omit salt & baking power if using self rising flour)

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shorting & sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time, vanilla, then dry ingredients to make firm dough. It is best to chill thoroughly. Roll very thin, cut & bake until brown. May also be used as drop cookies. Grease cookie sheet for first cooking.
