Blonde Brownies Recipe

2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 c. unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/2 c. butterscotch, semi-sweet chocolate, peanut butter or white chocolate chips.

Preheat oven to 375.

Grease & flour (or spray) a 9x13" glass baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until smooth, then cool to room temp.

Meanwhile, in another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda and salt.

Beat the eggs and vanilla into the sugar mixture. Add flour mixture a bit at a time until a smooth, thick batter forms. Fold in the chips.

Spread evenly in pan. Bake 20-25 minutes until light brown around the edges and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Invert onto a rack and cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
