2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 lb. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. chopped walnuts
1 can cherry pie filling(or more)
1 c. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly; add vanilla. Stir in eggs, one at a time. Stir in flour and nuts. Mix well. Spread 3/4 of thick batter in ungreased 13X9" pan, Cover with cherry pie filling. Drop remaining batter by spoonfuls on filling and spread.Bake at 350º for 45 Mins. Cool. Cut in squares, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
