1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
1 c. (8 oz.) taco sauce
3/4 c. water
1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies
1 pkg. (1.25 oz.) taco seasoning mix
1 pkg. (12) taco shells/or tortilla chips (divided)
2 c. shredded cheddar cheese, divided
fresh tomatoes, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 º. Grease an 11x7 in. baking dish. Cook beef and onion. Drain. Stir in taco sauce, water, chilies, and seasoning mix. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, stirring occasionally. (3-4 min). Layer half of chips on bottom, then beef mixture, then cheese. Repeat. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Top with tomatoes and serve with sour cream and guacamole.
