1 1/2 c. flour
4 1/2 tsp. yeast
3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. (1/2 cube) butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. chopped apples

3/4 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. brown sugar
1 T. corn syrup
1 T. water
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Put 1 1/2 c. flour and yeast in a large bowl (or mixer) and set aside. Combine the milk, water, butter, sugar and salt in a saucepan and heat until warmed. Add to the flour/yeast mixture. Add the egg and beat on high for 3 minutes. Stir in, by hand, the 1 3/4 c. flour and chopped apples by hand. Cover the bowl with a damp dish towel and let rise 30 minutes. While dough is rising, combine the sauce ingredients and heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour sauce into a 9x13 pan. Drop dough by heaping tablespoons over sauce. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. Let cool 1 minute in pan. Place a cookie sheet over pan and invert rolls onto cookie sheet.
