4 larg. sweet onions
Salt
Pepper
Butter

Directions:
Directions:
Peel and cut the top off of the onion. Pierce the onion so the butter will seep through the onion while baking. Place a large pat of butter on top along with salt and pepper. Wrap in foil. Place in cookie sheet making sure the top of the onion is on top. Place in 375º pre-heated oven for about 45 minutes.

It has always been necessary to have Rolaids for dessert when I fix these. They are really good served with red beans and corn bread.
