Buttermilk Brownies Recipe

Brownies:
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 vegetable oil
1 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk

Frosting:
1/2 cup margarine
1/4 cup cocoa
1/3 cup buttermilk
1/2 tsp vanilla
4-5 cups powdered sugar

Directions:

Mix in large bowl:
2-cups flour, 2 cups sugar and 4 tbsp. cocoa.
Combine in a small sauce pan: 1 cup cold water, 1/2 cup margarine and 1/2 cup vegetable oil, bring to a boil and pour into dry ingredients. Beat well.
Add: 1 tsp. baking soda, 2 eggs, 1/2 cup buttermilk.
Pour into a greased/floured jelly roll pan. Bake 18 minutes at 400º. Cool and frost with the following frosting.
Frosting: Mix in a large sauce pan and bring to a boil, 1/2 cup margarine, 1/4 cup cocoa and 1/3 cup butter milk. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla and 4-5 cups powdered sugar. Beat well and spread on brownies.
