Blackberry Cobbler Recipe

2 qt. blackberries, fresh or frozen
4 tbsp. corn starch
4 tbsp. minute tapioca
4 tsp. magarine, melted
3 c. sugar
2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Place blackberries in a 9x13 in. baking dish. Spread corn starch and minute tapioca over top of the blackberries evenly.

Crust for the topping:
Add melted margarine, 1 cup of sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and milk into a bowl. Mix well and place on top of the berries. Distribute the remaining 2 cups of sugar evenly over the cobbler crust. Add water over the layer of sugar to dissolve it. Place the cobbler on the middle rack of the oven. Bake at 350º for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

It helps to put a cookie sheet on the bottom rack in case the cobbler juice bakes over the top of the dish.
