Filling:

1 1/2 c. milk
5 1/2 T. flour
2 C. powdered sugar
1/2 stick oleo
3/4 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla



Cake:

2 c. sugar
1/2 c.shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
4 c. flour
1 c. boiling water with 3 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Filling: Mix milk and flour on the stove until thick. Put in refrigerator till cool, really cool. After cooling, put in mixer and then add rest of ingredients till fluffy.
Cake: Beat sugar, shortening, eggs, and sour milk. Add remaining ingredients. Drop spoonfuls on baking sheet. Bake at 350º 8-10 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool, then spread one cake cookie with filling and top with another.
