3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. thyme
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
pinch cloves
1/4 c milk
1/4 c sour cream
1 c soft white bread crumbs
2 T chopped onion
2 T parsley
2 T chopped celery leaves (or celery seed)
1 tsp. chopped chives
1/4 chopped garlic
6 slices of bacon
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 lb. sausage

Glaze
2 T brown sugar
1/4 tsp. dry mustard
1/4 c ketchup
1/4 c Tabasco sauce

Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl, beat eggs with salt, pepper, thyme, nutmeg and cloves. Stir in milk, sour cream and bread crumbs. Let stand 5 minutes to permit bread to absorb moisture. Add meat, onions, parsley, celery, chives and garlic. Mix until well-blended. Turn mixture into a large baking pan. Place bacon strips on top. Bake 45 minutes at 350º Mix brown sugar, ketchup and Tabasco sauce. Glaze top and sides. Bake 30 minutes longer, brushing several times with glaze.

I think it is the mix of spices in the bread crumbs that makes this turn out so moist and tasty. This particular recipe says it serves 6-8, but they obviously weren't talking about 6-8 members of my family.
