Chocolate mixture:
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa
3/4 cup hot water

Cake batter:
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 cup milk
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla

One prepared pie shell
Directions:
Directions:
Mix together chocolate mixture and pour into pie shell.

Mix together cake batter and pour on top of chocolate mixture.

Bake at 375º for about 30 minutes.
