1 cup fat
2 eggs
13/4 cups powdered sugar
1 cup milk
3 cups flour
salt
41/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
butter for greasing cake pan
spread 41/2 Tbsp. butter (or cocoa butter)
11/2 cups powdered sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
4 Tbsp. water
3 Tbsp. ground coffee or 1 Tbsp. instant coffee

Directions:
Directions:
Grease round cake pan with butter.
Prepare dough: cream fat, add one egg at a time, sugar, milk, blend thoroughly. Add rest of ingredients, mix with spoon. Pour into cake pan, bake in well-heated oven (1 hour)
Prepare spread: cream butter, adding sugar gradually, cocoa and ground coffee. Cool torte, spread filling over surface and sides of cake, remove to platter, decorate.
