2c flour
1tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
1tsp salt
1tsp cinnamon
1tsp nutmeg
1c butter
1c sugar
1c brown sugar, firmly packed
2 large eggs
2tsp vanilla extract
2c oats
2c raisins, boiled to plump and drained
1c chopped walnuts - optional

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well. Add dry ingredients and beat together until well blended.
Add oats, raisins and nuts and stir until well mixed.

Drop by teaspoonful onto baking sheet 5cm (2") apart. Bake until golden, appoximately 8-10 minutes.

Let cookies stand for 2 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
