1 cup oil
2 cups red wine
3 1/4 cups sugar
8 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
4 tsp baking powder
honey

Directions:
Directions:
Bring oil and wine to boil. In a bowl combine sugar, flour, salt and baking powder. Stir flour mixture into wine a little at a time. Dough should be medium, not too hard, or too soft. Keep adding flour as needed.

Roll pieces of dough and cut into 1 1/2 inch pieces. Deep fry slowly in hot oil, about 5-10 minutes. Drain on brown paper and cool. Heat honey in pan and roll cookies in honey. Place on greased cookie sheet to dry.
