3/4 c sugar
2 tbsp water
1 c milk
1 c light cream
3 eggs
1/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp brandy
boiling water
1/2 heavy cream whipped stiff

Directions:
Directions:
Place 3/4 c. sugar in medium heavy skillet. Stir constantly over low heat, just until sugar melts & forms a syrup. Gradually stir in water. Immediately pour syrup into six 6-oz. custard cups. Set aside. Preheat oven to 325ºF.
Make custard: In medium saucepan, heat milk & cream just until bubbles form around edge of pan. In Med. bowl, with rotary beater, beat eggs slightly. Add sugar, salt & vanilla. Gradually stir in hot milk mixture & the brandy. Pour 1/2 c. custard into each prepared custard cup. Set cups in shallow pan; pour boiling water to 1/2 in. level around cups. Bake 30-35 Mins. until inserted knife comes out clean. Remove from pan. Cool 3 Hrs. in refrig. Serve with whipped cream.
