1 cup butter
1 cup sweet milk
2 cups sugar
3 cups self-rising flour sifted three times
1 tsp. vanilla or lemon extract
4 eggs separated

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg yolks. Add alternately to this milk and then flour - a little at a time. Beat between each addition. Add flavoring. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in a tube pan at 350º until done. A little cream of tarter added to the whites will make them beat better.
