1 Small Bottle Maraschino Cherries (Red)
1 Small Bottle Maraschino Cherries (Green)
1 Small Can Crushed Pineapple
1 Small Package Lemon Jello
1 c. Sugar
7 Egg Yolks
7 Egg Whites
1 c. Chopped Nuts
1/2 lb. Vanilla Wafers (crushed)
1 Container Whipping Cream
Directions:
Directions:
Drain and save juices from cherries and pineapple. Add enough water to make 1-1/2 C. liquid. Bring to a good boil and add lemon jello and 1 C. Sugar. Beat in beaten egg yolks. Cook until thickened, stirring continuously. Let cool. Beat egg whites till stiff and fold into jello mixture. Add chopped nuts, chopped cherries and pineapple. Put 1/2 vanilla crumbs into greased 9x12 pan. Pour mixture into pan. Refrigerate. After it begins to congeal, cover with remaining crumbs. Cover lightly with foil and chill. Serve with whipped topping and decorate with 1/2 of green cherry and 1/2 of red cherry.
