1 1/2 c sugar
1 c soft butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. almond extract
5 drops red food coloring
1/2 c chopped walnuts
5 drops yellow fod coloring

EARLIER: In a large bowl, measure all ingredients. With a mixture at low speed, beat ingredients until just mixed; increase speed to medium and beat 3 minutes.
NEAPOLITAN: Line bottom and sides of a 9 X 5 loaf pan with waxed paper. Spoon 1/3 of the basic refrigerator dough into a small bowl. Stir in 1/2 tsp. almond extract and 5 drops red food coloring until well mixed.
