3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup shortening
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 egg
1 3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/3 cup white chocolate chips
3 1/2 oz jar macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375º

In a large bowl, beat brown sugar, butter and shortening until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and egg, blend well. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Mix everything together well. Stir in white chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Drop by tablespoon 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
