2 C sifted flour
1 t salt
3/4 C shortening
2 T milk
1/2 C nuts
1/2 C coconut
1/2 t soda
1 C brown sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla
1/2 C maraschino cherries, cut

Directions:
Mix in order as listed. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake in oven at 375º for 12 to 15 minutes.
