1 T. olive oil
1/4 c. tomato paste
2 onions, finely chopped
coarse salt & ground pepper
3 carrots, finely chopped
1 c. dry white wine
6 garlic cloves, minced
1 28oz. can crushed tomatoes in puree
1 lb. ground turkey (you can use beef but no me gusta)
1 cup milk
1 lb. ground pork

Directions:

In big ol' pot heat oil over high heat. Add onions, carrots, and garlic; cook, stirring, until slightly softened, about 2 minutes. Add beef and pork; cook, breaking up meat with a spoon, until no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Stir in tomato paste; cook 1 minute. Season generously with salt and pepper. Add wine and tomatoes. Bring sauce to a simmer; cook, partially covered, stirring occasionally, until thickened, about 1 hour. Add milk; simmer until completely absorbed, about 15 minutes more. Season again with salt and pepper.

I double this and freeze it. It is great to have around to bust out when you want. It's so good, you'll eat it until you burst. If you really want to be healthy or you can't eat carbs, it's really good over steamed zucchini.
