1 to 1-1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chili sauce or ketchup
1 c. chopped onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 TB. margarine, melted
2 1/2 TB. flour
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, undrained
pepper to taste
1-1/2 c. beef broth (or 1-1/2 c. boiling water and 2 tsp. or cubes of bouillon)
4-6 oz. egg noodles, depending on how much meat you’ve used
1/2 c. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cook onion in butter until tender. Add meat and mushrooms, stirring frequently, until lightly browned. Stir in broth and bring to a boil. Combine chili sauce, flour and sour cream and stir into meat mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened. Season and serve over noodles.

(You can substitute 3 cups rice for the noodles. Also, I sometimes cook a pound of round steak in wine and spices in the crockpot, instead of ground beef.)
