1 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. shortening
2 tsp. baking soda
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
2 oz. Chocó bake (or 2 sq. melted, bitter chocolate and 1 tsp. margarine)

Directions:

Cream together sugar, shortening and egg. Stir in corn syrup and chocolate. Sift together and beat in dry ingredients. Shape into small balls; roll in sugar; and bake on greased cookie sheets at 350 degrees for fifteen minutes. Cool a few minutes before removing from cookie sheets.
