9" pastry shell, prepared
1/3 C peanut butter
3/4 C powdered sugar
3 egg yolks, beaten
1/2 C sugar
1/3 C flour
1/8 t salt
2 C hot milk
2 T butter
1/2 t vanilla

Directions:
**NOTE: this recipe requires the Granny Grace Meringue to complete.** Heat oven to 350º. Mix peanut butter into powdered sugar until it's a mealy form. Sprinkle 2/3 of this mixture in the bottom of a baked pie shell.
Mix together: egg yolks, beaten with sugar blended with flour and salt and hot milk w/ 2 T butter added. Mix all together in a double broiler until thick. Remove from stove and add vanilla, stir in well and pour over mealy substance in pie shell. While cooling, prepare meringue.

This recipe is transcribed from the recipe card that Granny Grace gave me. All of her family, friends and church family love it. A MOST FABULOUS pie and Granny Grace specialty! A cup of sugar can be added, instead of a 1/2 cup, for a super sweet pie.
