4-5 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract or anisette
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter, melted
4 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
In a large bowl, beat sugar, eggs and vanilla; beat well. In a separate bowl stir flour and baking powder together. Add flour mixture a little at a time into the sugar and egg mixture and blend. Beat well. Add melted butter and mix well. If soft, add a little more flour.

Make 5 or 6 loaves. Place on a buttered cookie seet and flatten a litle. Place in a pre-heated 350º F oven until slightly brown. Remove from oven. Cut into slices (on a diagonal) and return to the oven until lightly brown on both sides.
