1 cup soft butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
2 egg yolks
5 cups sifted flour
2/3 cup Marsala or sherry wine
1 egg white
chopped nuts

Number of Servings: 9 dozen

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolks and beat until light. Add sifted dry ingredients with wine. Mix well. Chill.

Roll out dough on a floured board and cut with 2-inch cookie cutter (round). Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with nuts. Bake in a pre-heated oven (325º F) for 8-10 minutes or until edges become slightly brown.
