Ingredients:
Ingredients:
6 eggs, separated
1/4 pint sour cream
4 tsp whiskey
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
4 cups flour
1 and 1/2 lbs Criscoİ
Confectioner's sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cream egg yolks. Add sour cream and whiskey. Add vanilla, 2 cups flour and salt, mix well. Use the additional 2 cups of flour to work into the dough until it is dry enough to pull away from your cutting board. Refrigerate the dough for an hour. Separate the dough into pieces. Begin with one piece and continue until you have used all of the dough, roll the dough with a rolling pin or a pasta machine until it is very thin. Cut the dough into 3 inch by 1 inch strips. Make a slit down the middle of each strip and tie like you would a knot or bow.

Melt the crisco in a large pot, fry the dough for about one minute or until lightly browned. Remove from pot with a slotted spoon; drain on brown paper bags. When cool, sprinkle generously with confectioner's sugar.
