3 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup sugar
4 Tablespoons cocoa
2 cups milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons butter
3 eggs, separated
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 baked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cornstarch, sugar, and cocoa. Slowly add milk, stirring until sugar dissolves. Place on medium heat. Slowly add beaten eggs yolks, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil and cook until thick. Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Make meringue of egg whites and pour over hot filling. Bake until browned at 350º, about 15 minutes.
