Pie filling:
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup Karo syrup
3 eggs
1 cup pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt

Pie crust:
Large amount lard or Crisco
Cold water
Plain flour

Combine all pie filling ingredients and set aside. Cut lard into flour. Add cold water until able to handle. Roll out and place in pie plate. Fill and bake at 375 for 1/2 hour or until set.
