1 pound Great Northern Beans
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 pound ham plus 1 large ham hock
1 teaspoon Liquid Smoke
Scant 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
Scant 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1 1/2 quarts water

Directions:
Directions:
Place water in a Dutch oven and bring to a boil. Add beans, onion, ham, ham hock, and spices. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer until beans are tender. Stir occasionally.
