1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
ice water

Directions:
Mix flour and salt. Cut in shortening until mixture is the size of small peas. Add ice water a little at a time until dough is stiff (do not overmix). Roll out onto floured surface and place in ungreased pie pan. If pre-cooked crust is required, bake at 500 F until crust colors and reduce heat to 350 F until done. (Carolyn cheats and bakes at 400 F without reducing heat.)
