1 cup butter or margarine, soft
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter or margarine, soft
3 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 cup baking cocoa
1/4 cup milk
Directions:
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Beat in vanilla (I have substituted almond flavoring and we loved that too). Combine flour and cocoa; add to creamed mixture just until combined. Stir in nuts.

Spread in an ungreased 9x13 pan. Bake at 350º for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

For frosting, beat butter in a mixing bowl until fluffy. Beat in confectioners sugar, cocoa, milk and vanilla until smooth. Spread over brownies.
