4 lbs. fresh figs
3 lbs. sugar

Directions:

Wash figs throughly
Add sugar and let stand 2-3 hours
Cook slowly to thickened liquid consistency

Put lids (not rings) into small pot and boil to sterilize. Make sure the rim of jar is dry before placing lid on. Tighten ring and turn upside down. Leave until cool.

Wonderful to use on cream cheese as appetizer. Just mash and put on top of cream cheese with Captain's Wafers.
