2 boxes Barilla Oven ready lasagna 2 cans (small) basil flavored tomato sauce 4 jars Classico roasted garlic alfredo 2 eggs, slightly beaten 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, separated 4 tablespoons fresh paresley, chopped and separated 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 pound ground chorizo 2 pounds lean ground beef 2 teaspoons McCormick Italian Seasoning 1 cup onions, chopped 2 containers (large) ricotta cheese 2 cups romano and parmesan cheese, grated 4 cups mozzarella, shredded

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Spray a 13x9 inch baking dish with olive oil cooking spray.
2. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a medium saucepan. Add onions and garlic and saute until golden.
3. Add tomato sauce, lean ground beef, ground chorizo and Italian seasoning. Simmer on medium-high for 30 minutes. Remove from heat.
4. Combine slightly beaten eggs, ricotta romano, Parmesan, 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, remaining olive oil and 2 tablespoons of parsely in a medium bowl. Mix well.
5. Pour 1 jar of alfredo sauce in prepared baking dish. Place enough lasagna sheets over sauce to cover the bottom of dish.
6. Pour 1 jar of alfredo sauce on top of lasagna sheets.
7. Spread meat and cheese mixture over lasagna sheets.
8. Repeat layers ending with pasta. Top with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and parsley.
9. Bake for 60 minutes. |
