1 egg
1 1/2 C milk
1/4 C vegetable oil/bacon grease
2 C self-rising corn meal mix

Directions:
Directions:
Beat egg well and add remaining ingredients. Blend well. Pour batter by tablespoon onto hot greased griddle like pancakes. Fry at medium heat until browned, turn and fry on other side until browned. Grease griddle liberally with bacon grease. Granny always used an electric skillet but I use an iron skillet for mine.
