1/2 c. shortening
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. flour (scant)
1 banana, mashed
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. milk

Cream shortening, add sugar, vanilla and eggs and beat till fluffy. Sift dry ingredients and add to butter mixture alternately with milk and bananas. Pour into 8X12" or 7X11" or 8" square Pyrex dish, greased and floured. Bake @ 325 for 45-50 minutes.
