1 pound dried beans*
1 med. white onion
1 pound bacon
1 T. molasses
1/4 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar (packed) **
1 tsp. dry mustard
Dash each of Tabasco & Worchester sauces
Dash of garlic powder

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans over night. Drain, rinse and cover with fresh clean water. Bring to a simmer and add bacon and onion. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer until beans are soft. Add remaining ingredients stir well. Pour into a baking pan large enough to hold all the beans and broth. Make sure there is enough liquid to cover beans in pan.
Bake in 350º - 375º oven for 1 to 2 hours until they reach desired consistency.

** grammas original recipe calls for 1/4 pound salt pork. Dice into small pieces in place of ham.
