1-3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 TB. pimento, opt.
2 TB. margerine
1-8oz. tube cresent rolls
2 c. cooked, cut-up chicken breast
Topping:
1/4 tsp. salt
a little melted butter
1/8 tsp. pepper
seasoned croutons, crushed
2 TB. milk

Directions:

Blend first 2 ing. until smooth in pan over range. Add the next 5. Open the rolls, separate into 4 rectangles and seal perforations. Spoon 1/2 c. of chicken mixture onto center of each rectangle. Pull 4 corners of dough to center of mixture. Twist slightly and seal. Brush tops with butter, top with croutons. Bake in 350º for 20-25 minutes. If made ahead, keep in fridge and then bake 40-45 minutes.

a little longer if you have to cook the chicken first but otherwise not bad at all.

This was served at a brunch and was a big hit. She also served it with a sauce: 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup of milk, 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese. Heat (don't boil!) and serve with the rolls as a dip.
