1 tsp. cream of tartar
chocolate/pistacio
1/2 tsp. baking soda
coconut/almond

your options are endless!!
1/2 c. milk + 2 TB.

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (optional, I bake scones on a baking stone). Sift the flour, tartar, baking soda and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter using your fingers or a pastry blender until mixture is evenly crumbled. Stir in the sugar (mix-ins too)and enough milk to make the dough hold together (you might use more than a 1/2 c.). The following is not from the recipe, but it's how I do it: Take the dough and put it on the thing you will bake it on. Knead it once or twice and then form it into a 1 inch thick circle. Brush the circle with milk and sprinkle sugar, cinnamon, nothing or what ever on top. Then cut it into perfect triangles and place the triangles separately on the baking stone. Bake for 10-15 minutes depending on how brown you like your scones.

Personal Notes:
I use this recipes almost exclusively and just add whatever flavors I'm in the mood for after I add the sugar. This is the best and easiest scone recipe I've found and I've done a lot of looking!
