1 c. flour
1 stick margarine
1 c. chopped pecans
1 - 8 oz. Cool Whip, divided
1 c. powdered sugar
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 small pkg. vanilla instant pudding
2 small pkg. chocolate pudding
4 1/2 c. milk
Chopped pecans or chocolate chips (optional)

Grease a 9X13 pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, margarine and pecans. Spread in pan and bake 20-25 minutes. Let cool thoroughly. Beat 1 c. cool whip, sugar, and cream cheese until fluffy. Spread on crust. Beat vanilla and chocolate pudding with milk until thick. Spread on other layers. Top with cool whip. Sprinkle with pecans or chocolate chips if desired. Chill before serving. Keep refrigerated.

Optional coconut variation:

Make crust and cream cheese layers as described above. For the 3rd layer, substitute, 1 lg. pkg. instant vanilla pudding and 1 small instant vanilla pudding, 1 c. shredded coconut with 4 1/2 c. milk. Top this layer with cool whip. Sprinkle with coconut.
