1 1/2 c. Sifted Flour
3/4 c. Sugar
3 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/4 c. Shortening
1 Egg
1/2 c. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1/2 c. Strained Stewed Apricots

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together first 4 ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture looks like meal. Stir in egg, milk, and vanilla. Spread 1/2 mixture into greased and floured 8"x8"x2" pan. Spread 1/2 c. strained stewed apricots and cover with other half of batter.

Mix together 1/4 c. packed brown sugar, 1 T. Flour, 1 tsp., Cinnamon, 2 T. Butter, and 1/4 c. chopped nuts and sprinkle over top of batter.
Bake: 375º Time: 25-30 Minutes
