8 oz lasagna noodles cooked
1/2 c chopped onion
1/2 c chopped green pepper
3 tbsp butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 c milk
1 c mushrooms (optional)
3 c chicken cooked and chopped
1/2 tsp basil
1 1/2 c cottage cheese (drained)
2 c cheddar cheese
1/2 c Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Saute the onions and green pepper in the butter. Stir in the soup, milk and mushrooms. Blend well. Mix together the cottage cheese, cheddar cheese,basil and Parmesan cheese. In a 9 x 13 pan, layer noodles, 1/2 sauce mixture, 1/2 chicken, 1/2 cheese mixture. Repeat. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Uncover lasagna when it's almost done.

This is a recipe that we got years ago from a friend at church. It was a pot luck and we just thought this was a great variation if you were tired of a beef lasagna. It takes a little time to prepare this dish, but the time is well worth it.
