1 1/2 c. elbow macaroni
6 slices yellow American cheese (regular or 2%)
1 T. margarine
1/4 c. milk (fat free or 2%)

Directions:
Directions:
In medium saucepan, cook macaroni to box directions. Drain macaroni and rinse lightly. Return macaroni to saucepan and add cheese, margarine and milk. Stir over low heat until cheese is melted. Add more milk to desired cream consistency. Salt and pepper to taste.

This is a perfect Mac & Cheese for the kids! Better than the box version and without all of the preservatives. For a richer sauce, add 1-2 more slices of cheese, milk and margarine to your liking.
